E-LIQUID PRODUCT TAX UPDATE / 1ST NOVEMBER 2025
E-LIQUID PRODUCT TAX UPDATE:
A new €0.50 per ml tax on all e-liquids, including nicotine-free options, will take effect in Ireland on November 1st, 2025. This additional tax comes on top of the existing 23% VAT.
The effects on product pricing and availability remain uncertain. Because of this, restocking will be approached very cautiously, and some items might temporarily disappear from shelves. Overstocking could also be risky if costs rise sharply.
We strongly disagree with this policy. There is a real concern that it could push some vapers back to smoking, encourage illegal markets, and make it harder for adults to find safe and affordable vaping products.
Example of the tax after the 1st of November 2025:
